Indicator lamps, are widely used in almost each and every kind of electrical or electronic equipment imaginable. If you are planning to purchase indicator lamps, you must do so from a reputed indicator lamp manufacturer in India. Neon indicator lamps ensure long life, reduced current drain, shock and vibration resistant, etc.A neon indicator lamp is constructed using two electrodes mounted within a small glass envelope. After that, two tin Dumet metal wire leads are brought out of the lamp to make electrical connections to the electrodes. Then, regular lamps are filled with a neon/argon gas mixture, and high brightness lamps are filled with pure neon gas. When a starting voltage (usually 55-110 volts AC, or 90-140 volts DC) is applied the gas ionizes and starts to glow and because of that very small amount of current gets to travel from one electrode to the other. The maintaining voltage ranges around 10-20 volts below the starting voltage, depending on the lamp and the operating current. The lamps of AC voltages of 60 Hz or higher frequency, the light output will appear to the eye as continuous.
